How do you open the new bimini tops. It doesn't have the straps like the older moldels

If I hook down the bar on the back, then I can't get the one on the front to it's hook in point. Not sure what I am doing wrong and the user manual only has the old style bimini instructions

    I have a new Sweetwater and the only problem I have is I can’t unlatch the front starboard support bar. Does anyone know if you’re supposed to just push/pull the bar to unlatch or is there some release mechanism I’m missing? Thanks
