Missing Serial Number for Mercury Force 40

I mistakenly put this in the activity section. But, I have a 1995 Sweetwater Pontoon Boat and it has a Mercury Force 40hp outboard. Is it possible to obtain a serial number for the outboard with the boat Hull ID? The ID number is GDY6952EE595. I did find two numbers on the engine block.
