The power on my dashboard wouldn't work today when I was getting the boat ready for a trip out. We set the battery to 1 and then I flipped the switch for the dashboard main power and nothing happened. Tried hitting the reset button next to the main switch, nothing. I tried clicking on most of the dashboard switches and none did anything. I then had my wife switch to batter 2 and still nothing for all of the above. I turned the key on the boat, which worked just fine, and still nothing worked on the dashboard. My wife looked in the compartment under the dash and reported seeing a red light behind the speedometer. Then she touched some of the wires in the back. Still nothing. Looked down again and one of accessory lights suddenly was on (which we had hit prior) Suddenly everything just started working. I turned the battery off numerous times trying to duplicate the issue, but could not get anything to fail no matter what I did. Everything worked perfectly. Anybody have a theories on this? So strange.

Update: After further testing and duplicating problem, the red light seems to have nothing to do with my issue. I found that tinkering around in the battery compartment by moving thin black cord running from battery to floor and switching the power back forth (between 1 and 2) both resolved the issue at times. Still not sure what the overall problem could be.0
