Hoist. vertical lift or cantilever?

Hi, I need to buy a hoist for my 2500 FE. Does anyone have any experience ( good or bad ) with ether style. Thanks, Steve.

    I've had both.  Believe they work equally well.  What you want is determined by depth of water, mostly.  Cantilever has limitations.  One might work in shallower water than the other.  Cantilever moves the boat forward, as it lifts.  Do you have room for it?  You can put an awning on a vertical lift.  Not sure about a cantilever.

    I have a 3600 lb  Floe vertical lift.  12vdc with Solar panel.

    I like a vertical lift for the pontoon boat

    Works great for the 2286fc
