Radio, transom remote light dosn't shut off

I have a 2014 Parti Kraft, I noticed that the transom remote for the radio ,light is always on.Is this normal?Itwill not shut off ? Haen't killed the battery yet.

    do you have a battery switch? On a boat with a bilge, the bilge pump is wired to be on, even if the switch is off. I see no reason for a radio remote to be hard wired on though, hardly a safety issue. I mounted my own battery switch, it kills everything.
