What do I use to remove something clear and sticky that got on my new vinyl seat?

I tried Dawn and water with a paper towel but it did not break through the sticky.
does anyone have any suggestions? I do not want to use anything that will damage the vinyl.
this is a brand new 2015 Sweetwater 2286 front seat back right at the top very visible.

goo be gone type citrus cleaner fluid is my suggestion5

Dealer told me to use Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Not sure if it will work on that goo or not, but has done very well with the rest of the boat.5

magic eraser is abrasive, I would try citrus cleaner first to get the thickest area clean5
