Mounting the depth/fish finder

I would like to mount my new GPS/depth/fish locator on the LH dash panel above the radio but I'm not sure there is enough room to mount it. I need 4 13/16" high x 9 3/16 wide. Since my boat is 1000 miles away under shrink wrap I am hoping that someone measure theirs and let me know if there is enough room to do the mounting there. I'm going to attempt to include a picture. My boat is a 2016 Sweetwater 2086 Bow Fish.

I have a 2286 Dash looks the same and I thought about putting my there I have a Garmin which they sell a dash kit for. But the more I thought about it, if it ever broke would I ever find one to fit the same hole. So I mounted mine on a pedestal mount by the cup holder to the right of the dash. But you should be able to go to a dealer and measure that.

Thanks for the response Boomer, I considered the problem of a big hole and concluded that if necessary I could buy a replacement panel from Godfrey. I might like the RH side mount but since I won't see my boat again until July I think now is a good time to sort out my options.
Where did you purchase the pedestal mount? I looked at some of the marine suppliers and was unable to find a source.

Actually, now I'm thinking that mounting a short pedestal mount to the LH panel (after reinforcing the panel) might be a good idea because I would then be able to move the display for optimum viewing even when standing.

Well, just to show the final result, here are some photos of the mounting brackets I made and the final install. the flat bracket was put on the back side of the dash panel to provide additional rigidity. I like it, it's easy to see when seated and rotates upward for good viewing when standing.
