Hello all
i just acquired a 2012 sweetwater 2086 and it has a Yamaha 70hp (this is my first boat)
what kind of speeds can i expect out of this thing? I had 3 adults and 2 6 yr old kids on it for the maiden voyage yesterday evening and 16mph was about max in calm waters

    ok thank you, just wasnt sure what i should have been expecting, the tachometer isnt working so im not sure what kind of RPM i was running

    thanks for that link, today i pulled the plug on the back and tested with a multimeter, im getting power and when i throttle up the voltage rises so i know that it is good to there, so ill either try and send the tach back or try to find one online somewhere

    mine doesnt have an hour meter but i found the same tach as mine on ebay, but it has an hour meter, would that hurt it or does anyone know?

    Don't think hour meter could hurt, it just won't be correct readings
