What size engine is my boat rated for

I have a 1984 AquaPatio 24' .  It has a 40 hp on it but I'm wondering what it is rated for.  Can I put a 90 on it ?
I have not been able to find specs on it nor can I find a tag on the boat showing specs or ratings.

    I have a 40 on my 18ft so you can go bigger. The tag is by my throttle but that for the manufacturer.
