I have a 2005 aqua patio pontoon boat. I am tired of manually, lifting the anchor from the muddy bottom of our North Carolina lake. Has anyone had experience installing an aftermarket electric anchor winch? If so, what model would you recommend? Also once the anchor is raised, where or how do you stow the anchor so it’s not swinging or in the way of your guests?

I put a Min Kota deckhand pontoon anchor winch on my pontoon boat. Wired in for 12VDC, used recessed trolling motor plug to make winch removable for storage. Works like a champ with mushroom type anchor on.0
