Is my dealership pulling a fast one on me?

Original Buyers Order that I took to the bank for financing listed the year of the engine (200 hp Yamaha) as a 2025.

I'm picking up the boat (2025 SW 2286) tomorrow, and got a call today from the dealership that, while the S/N and model are correct, the engine is actually a 2023. Was told that it's normal to sell a new boat with an engine that's a couple years old.

1. Is it normal? It's still a new engine, with new warranty.
2. Have there been any great improvements in model years 2024/2025 in the Yamaha F200XC engine that would make me want a newer motor?

I actually experienced the same thing when buying ours this month. Ours was a Mercury but regardless they showed me a paper from mercury that while it was built in Dec 2023 they certify it as 2026. Their logic is that particular motor hasn’t changed in design so they can do this.
